Moulding and Casting

IMG_0871.jpg

- Jesmonite mould was used

-  Powdered pigments were used to recreate the original colour of the compo

IMG_0876.jpg

- 'Wright of Lymm Acrylic Gold Size' was applied to the moulds before gilding.

- 'Wright of Lymm - Finest Quality Gold Leaf' was used to gild the surfaces.

- Moulds were tinted and coloured using both liquid paints and powders.

- This was done so the moulds would mimic the colours and surface textures of the original gilding
