Stoke-On-Trent Civic Centre

The cleaning of the stained glass windows in the civic centre's main meeting room.
The windows had been installed in the early 1920s and had been subject to nearly 100 years worth of grime and tobacco smoke clinging to the inside of the glass.

The glass was cleaned panel by panel with deionised water. The solvent was applied to the glass in small quantities using Q tip cocktail sticks. The processes on each piece of glass had to be repeated several times as the dirt, grime and tobacco was very engrained on the surface.
