Araldite 2020 is used bind the two pieces of glass together. Araldite A and B (20 : 6) are mixed together to create an adhesive. The adhesive is applied to the break line using a cocktail stick which allows it to seep into the crack.

Araldite 2020 is also used to create the resin fill for the glass. The A and B mixture are added together before dye colours are added to recreate the original colour of the glass (Yellow/ Orange). Once the appropriate colour is made it is poured into the the fill and left to set for 24 hours.

Strips of copper foil are cut and placed on the break edges of each piece of glass. They are then burnished over to ensure they are secured against the break line.

A scalpel is then used to cut away the excess foil.

Animal fat is then rubbed on the copper foiled joints and a solder is used to join the two pieces of glass together.
